Here are some guides that will help you create and plan your feed. These are only a few of the many ways that you can organize your Instagram photos.

Types of Instagram Feeds

Dark Feed

If you wish to create a dark feed on Instagram, I recommend using the following Contentily Presets:

City Night
Black Out
Midnight
Moody

However, it is important to ensure your raw pictures follow a darker vibe and have dark features. I like to help create a darker feed by using feed fillers. I mostly take them by myself for example my shoes, my hair, my outfit, or even a bag.


I suggest following a color palette and using one of our Feed planners for an easy base.

Light Feed

If you wish to create a light feed on Instagram, I recommend using the following Contentily Presets:

The key to creating an "imperfect" feed is actually being casual and not trying to make everything match perfectly. Adding a colorful photo here and there will help you I like to add a pop of color to switch things up by using feed fillers. I suggest choosing 6 different color palettes as seen in the example using one of our feed planners for an easy base.
